Administrative Plan Change – Effective Immediately

January 27, 2017

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING YOUR RENTAL ASSISTANCE

MBHA must adopt policies prescribing when and under what conditions the family must report changes in family income or expenses [24 CFR 982.516(c)]. In addition, HUD regulations require that the family be permitted to obtain an interim reexamination any time the family has experienced a change in circumstances since the last determination [24 CFR 982.516(b)(2)].

HUD regulations give MBHA the freedom to determine the circumstances under which families will be required to report changes affecting income.
MBHA has implemented a change in the number of days a family must report changes.

Effective immediately, all changes in income, expenses, family composition, and student status must be reported in writing within 14 calendar days of the effective date of the change, not of receipt of payment or change.

The previous policy requiring 10 business days is no longer effective, you must now report in 14 calendar days.

If you are a victim of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault or stalking, information is available in our office.  If you need a reasonable accommodation due to a disability, please contact our office.
